For over 4 years I was responsible for the PR for a selection of RIBA Books' titles each year. These included the very successful Happy By Design by Ben Channon, and Queer Spaces by Adam Nathaniel Furman and Joshua Mardell. 
Each book project started with an initial meeting with the author, their commissioning editor and the RIBA marketing team; agreement on a PR angle and key publications/ media areas to target. I was then responsible for writing the press release and compiling the media engagment list, approval and distribution of all PR, and media relations. 
Fairly often, there were also opportunities to create additional marketing materials, for example promotional videos which would be used as part of a social media marketing campaign, which I also coordinated the production of. 

During 2021, I was also responsible for writing content, proof reading and editing RIBA Books Inserts for the RIBA Journal. This involved confirming all books to be featured each month, sourcing information on all titles, writing or adapting blub copy, working with a remote designer who I would brief and provide all copy to, proofreading drafts and and submitting final version for printing by the deadline. ​​​​​​​
